Growth & Development affecting Special Social factors – Poverty, Lack of Opportunity, Deprivation, Disrupted Family, Poor Neighborhood, Poor Housing etc.
There are some special social factor influencing growth and development. They are as follows —
1) Poverty,
2) Lack of Opportunity,
3) Deprivation,
4) Disrupted Family,
5) Poor Neighborhood,
6) Poor Housing.
We can say all of the above factors as socio-economic factor together.

1) Poverty:
Poverty is general shortage, deficiency, or the condition of one who does not have a specific measure of material belongings or cash. Generally poverty means a situation which is created due to absence of money. Due to this reason people of our society suffers from good food, good dress, good education, good medical services. These affect people’s growth and development directly or indirectly.
2) Lack of Opportunity:
Every people of the world have own right of getting opportunities from their own nations or from their own states. But in real life we see, there are a few people in each society or in each state who deprived from many opportunities. Among many opportunities one such opportunity is right of getting job. But day by day in every country growth of population is increased and growth of employment is decreased. This is a major problem of any country. Due to this reason Fear, Insecurity, Depression has been increased among the people. This influence growth and development directly and indirectly.
3) Deprivation:
Deprivation is one of special social factor influencing human growth and development. We see different types of deprivation such as — Social Deprivation (make deprived anybody due to caste), Economic Deprivation (deprived from right of getting job), Citizen Deprivation (deprived from right of getting justice), Mental Deprivation (deprived from any right by force of fear) etc.
4) Disrupted Family:
Disrupted family means families who have no certain place of living, who are slum and live at surrounding of rail station and on pavement, who have no name in government voter list etc. The qualities of living of people of disrupted families are very poor stander which influences growth and development directly or indirectly.
5) Poor Neighborhood:
When economically backward peoples lived in a place then a surrounding among them is build up. Here the peoples are neighborhood to each others. This is called poor neighborhood. Due to their poverty they deprived from many opportunity. Sometimes they receive criticize, deprivation, exploitation from people of few rich families. For this reason most of the time they suffer from lack of confidence. This influence their growth and development.
6) Poor Housing:
Absence of money is very normal to poor people. Due to this reason many poor people have no certain place for living. Though who avail at least a small place for living that are very unhygienic. Some time we see some of them live in a small room by gathering which is also very unhealthy. These types of situation influences their growth and development.
So, the above mentioned factors are Growth & Development affecting Special Social factors. These are called as Socio-Economic factors.
